Hi friends! Though I 'm facing some tough times because of certain issues (you can find out about that on lovegreetingcards.blogspot.com), blogging is the way in which I can at least hope to tide over my crisis. What is it with mothers that whenever you feel let down, sad or neglected, you think of her? That reminds me - Mothers Day 2008 is almost here! I'm planning a surprise fo my mom. I may go home over the weekend. Anyway I'm feeling quite lonely here after what happened. 5. Add a personal touch, like baking a cake on your own or decorating a bouquet of your own.

Hi friends! With Mothers Day a few weeks off, I was looking around for some Mothers Day news. That is when I came across this news clip in the Chicago Tribune. It is about two women, two mothers; one cannot attain motherhood biologically but both are mothers in every sense of the term.

Anese Adams was to have twins and she decided that her twins would be adopted by her best friend Cynthia Rice. Rice cannot have children because of biological lacks. Adams is separated from her husband and Rice is unmarried. Cynics have doubted Adams' intentions, including questions about their sexual orientations. But they have not been able to shake off a mother's resolve to help her friend be a mother too.

This incident really takes the aura of motherhood beyond the rampant practice of abortions and foeticides. These women are to be saluted on Mothers Day: for their spirit, courage and sheer resilience. Reach out to a mother you know and wish them on Mothers Day. Not every woman is lucky enough to be a mother.

As an effect of the women's rights movement and in observance of International Women's Day 2008, the city of Phoenix (Phoenix Women's Commission) is going to partner with the local business section (Phoenix Woman magazine and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona) to do something good for the women out there. They are going to join hands to celebrate the 17 years tradition of raising fund for women, who want to return back to school at Arizona community colleges and universities. Doesn't that sound good?

This tradition of raising fund for women is on the scene since 1991 and has been working hard with a noble motive to pillar women rights movement, thereby raising as much as over $700,000 for women who want to go back for schooling. In observance of International Women's Day 2007 the event worked actively, raising an amount of $240,000. This tradition of raising fund for women has revolutionized the women society, making them aware of the women rights education.
